My ode to autumn

I have been wanting to make these for awhile now...and after the cakepop disaster, I wanted something fun to do. Had leftover cookie dough in the freezer, so all I had to do was make icing, and colour it! Didn't come out quite as I wanted, as the sugar I ordered is much bigger than I expected, and my colours wouldn't flow as well as I had hoped...but all in all, I think my cookies are getting better and better. Practice makes perfect, and since I have only made about 4 batches of iced cookies up to now, in a matter of a few months, I think I will have the designs and consistency down pat! What do you think?

  3. Great idea, I love these, but yeah I think there is room for perfection with the colours and the blending, so pretty! How did you get the sprinkles to stick specifically in one area... Ro

  4. Hey Ro! I am going to have to watch a video about blending...I have seen one but it was fairly simple with christmas baubles and one line going down repeatedly...I don't know how to do the leaves really, just saw a picture. As for the sprinkles, you have to be patient and make these cookies all day. One layer, and when it is dry, another, and then you can put the sprinkles on the still wet area and they stick only there...I haven't seen that, I just figured that's how it works...only my coloured sugar is way to big...
